Asset finance leads: hauliers adding vehicles

The fleets that are about to need funding.

Every vehicle added to a fleet is paid for somehow, and the decision about how is made in the few weeks between the permission being granted and the order being placed. A broker who arrives after the dealer has arranged it is too late, and a lead bought from a list has usually been called by five brokers already.

Northern haulier cleared for 14 more vehicles, no lender on file

  • Authorised vehicles rise from 16 to 30; trailers from 20 to 34.
  • Granted 15 September 2026.
  • Nothing registered against the assets; accounts filed on time three years running.
  • Net assets up by a quarter on the last filed accounts.

A ticket in the region of fourteen vehicles at a company with no incumbent funder and clean filings. There is nothing to displace here, which is the rarer and better call.

What puts a card here
An operator is cleared to grow, and the growth has to be paid for.
When the money moves
The funding decision is usually made before the vehicles are ordered.

asset finance broking, leasing, hire purchase, specialist lending

Three things the card tells you that a list cannot.

The permission is the start of it. What makes the call worth making is what the other records say about the company holding it, 13 of them read together.

  1. Whether a charge is already registered, which tells you if there is an incumbent to displace or an open field.
  2. The size of the headroom, so you know the ticket before you pick up the phone.
  3. The filing history and the shape of the last accounts, so credit is a conversation rather than a surprise.

Questions about this one.

How is this different from buying asset finance leads?
A bought lead is somebody who filled in a form, and the same form usually goes to several brokers. A card is a company that has been cleared to grow and has not asked anyone yet. You are the one who calls first, and you know the ticket before you do.
Do you show which lender the company uses today?
Where a charge is registered against the company, the card says so and names the chargeholder. No charge is often the better lead: there is nobody to displace.
Is it only lorries?
It is anything that needs an operator's licence to run, which in practice means goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and their trailers. Vans below that line are not on it.
